Paolo Fresu È un progetto nato da un bisogno evolutivo del percorso artistico di Emanuele Primavera, che ha scelto musicisti con cui ha condiviso momenti significativi della carriera. Tutti artisti giovani e allo stesso tempo già affermatisi nel panorama italiano. Ne deriva un disco che sia dal punto di vista compositivo che espressivo rivela la sua essenza potente, dinamica, espressiva e soprattutto moderna. Ancora una volta il jazz made in Italy colpisce nel segno grazie a nuove generazioni di artisti che sono ormai musicisti “ del mondo” e che allo stesso tempo non rinunciano ad alcune peculiarità soprattutto in tema di lirismo e melodia, molto tipiche e decisamente mediterranee.

I wanted to record my second album for a while and I wanted to totally change direction. One day playing with the guys, I decided to get together with planning. We had such a great relationship that it would have been nice to grow my music together. We have had the luxury of playing together for a few dates over the past two years to develop and build the repertoire. Their connection is tangible through this program of originals. “Once the songs took a second life. Much of the music comes from my improvisations on the piano, expanded into a quintet format, like a melody in which each section changes and drastically shifts the energy of the piece.
